Introducing– Windows Leopard OS

Posted: April 24th, 2010 under Uncategorized.

As some may already know, when I first got my iPod, I took one of the apple stickers that came with it, and put it on my Acer laptop. The sticker sits in the same place that Apple puts their logo on the laptop cover.

This has raised many conversations, as I’ve had a lot of people confused on if my laptop were a Acer/Apple, or what.

Well to confuse people even more, I have even changed my laptop even more. My computer doesn’t know whether it’s a mac or a pc. If you were to look at my operating system, you’d think that I had a macbook pro. Here is a picture of my laptop screen. It resembles that of Mac’s Leopard OS.

This is Windows Vista.. and I’ll prove it…

What I have done is make my laptop feel like a mac with a couple different programs. Personally I like it this way. It provides a new, refreshing look.

Here is a quick overview of how I did it. Detailed instructions will be found on my website soon.

  • The dock at the bottom with all the icons is a program called objectdock.
  • I downloaded the background skin so that it looks like a mac.
  • I then downloaded the finder icon and made it be the icon for windows explorer.
  • I moved the taskbar to the top, and the dock to the bottom.
  • I changed the background picture to this image.
  • I then changed the theme, which changed the color of the taskbar, the open/close buttons, and the window colors.
